You hooked me straight away. A younger version of me, certainly related to the brothers defiance — ahh to sneak out to concerts.

Great writing, Alexx, very engaging.

I really liked this bit:

“But on top of that, to be plagued by the indignity of getting his clandestine butt so resoundingly spanked by a smug, red-haired pencil-pusher in gigantic wire-rim glasses?” — that was fantastic.

MUHhahahahah!!!! I’m so glad you enjoyed that. It always tickles me to know which parts capture which people. And being one of those kids who never once snuck out—EVERRRR—I’m also happy to know that they way I’ve written Jess resonates with y’all who did. Thank you so much for this feedback! It lets me know I’m on the right track and to keep going.

Oh yeah. Definitely no stopping this thing now. It’s sitting at 113K, designed to be chopped into novella size serial installments by theme/setting. 54,720 of them I did for NaNo. I won’t be dropping this one every week like Persephone & Haides, because the base draft is still being puked out. But once the editing is far enough in to not put massive pressure on keeping up a posting timeline, I’ll get to share it. So glad I’ll have somebody who knows sneaky boy shenanigans along for the ride. To enjoy when I get it right and let me know where I mess it up. 🤓

Wow, that is impressive! So the writing runs deep with you — much respect.

I look forward to reading it as it comes out and providing my ‘sneaky boy’ expertise :)
