I like how you start some of your pieces — like this one — straight in the story in an active voice. It is a very enraging and it makes me want to know what’s coming next. It’s also good because as usual, what came next was just as engaging :)
I’m super glad to know that! I’m always vacillating between like...ok it’s a newsletter, but I don’t read this stuff like a newsletter. In fact I avoid it like plague in my email but I’m a weirdo. Should I start it like a newsletter or have any warmup for people who are coming in cold or just jump right in? In other words--thanks for telling me what you dig! Because then I can do it more when it serves. 🤓
I have similar thoughts sometimes... but I reckon the whole “newsletter” thing is substacks lingo not mine. I’m just using their platform to post my crazy musings in whatever form them want to come out.
