This was such a good read!

I can’t dance, (never really tried, I should though) so this whole piece was fascinating to me. The way you had such a connection with Noah through dancing and how you just couldn’t find that same connection with your boyfriend (at the time) was so interesting to me.

It really speaks to the power of dance to help people connect to a non-verbal vibe.

Indeed! It showed me what it's supposed to feel like. Dance...sex...friendship...music...sparring flow...community... It's a sensation that I search for since that day. Those of us who pursue solo passions have a different relationship with Flow. Totally different experience when you add another body with its own rhythms, intentions, motivations and desires to that mix. Or when you add multiple bodies. I highly recommend dance for a gazillion reasons. This is only about thirteen of them. Hahaha! So glad you enjoyed it!!!

That is so interesting. Like you said, as a skateboarder whenever I get into a flow state it is always solo. So much so I can’t even imagine what it would be like with someone else. But I’m intrigued to find out.

Thanks Alexx

Exactly! Cool, let me know how your experiments go! Swing was super fun. So were all the different ballroom & Latin styles I’ve tried. Square dancing was also a hoot, actually. Hmmmm...skateboard tandem dance shenanigans... 🤔🤔🤔😜 Would the board even let y’all get near each other? 🤣

Will do

Yeah two people on one board is a bit too hard, but sometimes people do ‘doubles’ or ‘lines’ where two skaters will follow each other or skate back and forth next to each other in a bowl or ramp. But when it doesn’t work out the collisions are real.
